Safeguarding Adults at Risk Level One

Overview

There has been a rise in adult safeguarding activity in recent years. It’s estimated that more than 1 in 10 adults experience some form of abuse. This Safeguarding Adults at Risk course provides guidance on preventing and reducing the risks of abuse and neglect.

Objectives

At the end of the course, trainees will be able to:

  • Understand what safeguarding is
  • Identify an adult at risk
  • Understand your duty in safeguarding
  • Identify what abuse is
  • Recognise the common types of abuse
  • Recognise how a concern may come to your attention
  • Respond appropriately to an incident of abuse
