This global course is designed to highlight the type, selection and use of PPE items in the workplace and the benefits and limitations of PPE.

Objectives

In this course you will learn to:

• Identify the role of PPE as one of many controls to keep you safe in the workplace
• Outline employers’ and workers’ responsibilities for PPE.
• Recognise the importance of correctly using, wearing, maintaining and storing PPE
• Identify typical examples of PPE and the safety signs that specify their use

About the Course

Personal protective equipment (PPE) refers to clothing and equipment that can protect you from injury and ill health when risks cannot be controlled enough in other ways.
