Course Overview

This course has been developed to provide you with an understanding of what risk is, how risk is managed in the workplace and your role as a leader in reducing health and safety risks in the workplace.

Learning Outcomes

The course will give Managers and Supervisors an awareness of what risk is and what their role is in minimising it. They will prepare all employees to fulfil their responsibilities in identifying, assessing, controlling and reviewing risks in their work environment.

This course provides an understanding of:

• Why it's important that health and safety risks are managed in the workplace
• Identifying hazards
• Assessing risk
• Applying, monitoring, and reviewing risk controls, and
• Your role in facilitating and leading risk management activities in the work environment.
