Course Overview

Kotter's 8-Step Change Model was created by Harvard University Professor, John Kotter. He perceived the change process as having 8 essential steps.

The 8 Essential Steps in this model are:

  • Create a sense of urgency for change
  • Build a coalition for change 
  • Form a vision for change 
  • Communicate the vision for change 
  • Remove barriers to change 
  • Generate quick wins for the change 
  • Stay persistent with the change 
  • Make the change permanent
