Supporting Wellbeing and Attendance

Overview

This pathway equips learners to proactively support workplace wellbeing and attendance, addressing both personal and team management aspects. It also aims to assist managers in sensitively and consistently responding to both long-term and short-term absences of employees.

It explores the causes of absence, particularly those within both the employees’ and employer’s control. Emphasising the importance of proactive management, it encourages honest communication between employees and their managers about the factors affecting their attendance.

Additionally, it outlines the essential procedures for ensuring that employees experience a smooth and well-supported return to work and highlights the crucial role that line managers play in fostering an open dialogue about health and wellbeing.
